Tamil Nadu Ready to Face Saurashtra in Ranji Trophy Quarterfinals

Tamil Nadu, after topping the Elite Group C table in the league stage, are set to face defending champions Saurashtra in the quarterfinals at the Sri Ramakrishna College of Arts and Science Ground in Coimbatore on Friday. Baba Indrajith, an integral part of Tamil Nadu’s performance, believes it will be a tough challenge.

The team had just one point after the first two rounds, but with four wins in their next five matches, they secured a spot in the knockouts. Indrajith expressed his delight, saying, “A team like Tamil Nadu not qualifying for that long, it was a bit disappointing for us, but I’m very, very happy that we have qualified into the knockouts after seven long years.”

Indrajith credits the team’s performance to their relentless attitude and aggressive form of cricket this season. He stated, “Everybody has stepped up in every game and we’ve had different match-winners in each of the games.”

With remarkable season numbers, including 606 runs in seven matches at an average of 75.75, Indrajith remains grateful for his successful run with the bat and is motivated to continue performing at a high level. His unwavering goal of obtaining a Test cap has fueled his consistent performance.
