Rapper YBC Dul Death in Philadelphia, Know All About Him

The city of Philadelphia once again became a venue for gang rivalry when rapper YBC Dul, whose real name was Abdul Vicks, was shot dead in a ‘revenge shooting’ in the Olney neighborhood of the city.

Media house 6abc reported that a 25-year-old male was shot dead around 3:34 p.m. Friday, August 23, on the 5500 block of N. 6th Street.

The victim was later identified as rapper YBC Dul with the Young Bag Chasers (YBC) Collective.

The rapper, who had an unenviable reputation as a young, brash, gang-affiliated rapper also dubbed as the ‘most hated rapper in Philly’ and loved to be self-identified as ‘Mr. Disrespectful,’ sparked major social media reactions.

One netizen poignantly summed up the fate of the rapper and said,

“The Philadelphia Rapper #YBCdul, who recently went viral for digging up his opp’s grave, has been shot and killed in North Philly. They did him dirty.”

YBC Dul a.k.a. Abdul Qadir-Vicks was a Philadelphia-based rapper and was a member of the Young Bag Chasers (YBC) collective. Born on July 5, 1999, YBC Dul started his music career with Brotherly Love in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. His first single, “Criminal,” was released on April 29, 2022.

YBC Dul was a talented rapper but gained both fame and notoriety in the Philly rap scene due to his involvement in a feud and gang war between his collective, the YBC, and several other rap/gang collectives.

In February, his video digging up the grave of an opposing rival (opps) who had been shot and killed, presumably by his collective, became viral.
