Rare Red Panda Born in Berlin Zoo From Indian Parents As Part of Global Breeding Program, Watch Video

Berlin, July 30: A uncommon purple panda has been born at a Berlin zoo, just a few months after its mother and father had been dropped at the German capital from India, the zoo stated in a press release Thursday. The little cub was first found on June 6 in its mom’s cave on the Tierpark Zoo and it’s now the scale of a guinea pig.

The animal’s gender is know but identified and it has not but been named. It’s the 10th purple panda to be raised in Berlin as half of a worldwide breeding program to assist shield the endangered animals. The purple panda is initially a local to the jap Himalayas and southwestern China.
