Ravi Shankar Prasad on BJP’s victory in Jammu & Kashmir DDC election- this is the new beginning of Kashmir

The Bharatiya Janta Party has emerged as the largest party in Jammu and Kashmir by winning 74 seats in the first election of the District Development Council. After this big victory of the party, Union Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad held a press conference and said that this is a victory of democracy and hope. Prasad said that this victory of the BJP is a victory of the thinking that PM Modi had thought for the future of Kashmir.

The Union Minister said that BJP has become the largest party in the entire union territory. BJP has got 74 seats, National Conference has got 67 seats, PDP has got 27 seats and Congress has got 26 seats. Prasad said that among the 39 independents who have won, many are supporters of the BJP. Ravi Shankar Prasad said that the Gupta alliance was formed due to the weakness of not being able to fight the BJP alone. The Union Minister said that BJP has got more votes than the votes of NC, PDP and Congress three. BJP has got 487364 votes.

People of Kashmir slap the face of separatists
The Union Minister, stating the victory figures, said that the people of Kashmir have done a big slap on the separatists. Kulgam got 28.9, Shopian 17.5 percent votes – these are their areas of influence. In Pulwama, 17.4 percent voting has been done in Sopore, 27.8 percent. Ravi Shankar Prasad said that Article 370 was removed after the Lok Sabha elections. He said that 51.7 percent voting was done in Bandipura, 43.4 percent voting was done in Ganderbal. In the panchayat elections, voting was 44 and in the Lok Sabha elections 23 percent.

The Union Minister held elections under President’s rule. NCP, INC PDP all protested. The Union Minister said that for the first time in India money started getting directly from the Government of India to the Panchayats. People saw the development on the ground. He said that the people of Kashmir have recognized the difference between those who rule and those who work.

Ravi Shankar Prasad further said that about 53 independents who have won have shown strength against terror. Engineer Ijaz won and said that he is the new voice of Kashmir. Prasad said that this is the new beginning of Kashmir. The Jamhooriyat of Kashmir is taking new action. He said that democracy is embracing hope and enthusiasm.

Regarding the state of terror in the valley, Ravi Shankar Prasad said that the terror of Pakistan continued to rage, fear of terrorists, attacks on security forces, where once it was moving, Kashmir has changed after the withdrawal of 370. On the defeat of the Guptkar coalition in the village of terrorist Burhan Wani, Prasad said that if the Guptar gang loses there too, then understand what the wind of Kashmir is saying.

He said that the work of some people is our criticism, they question the popularity. Prasad said that once again in the local body elections of Bihar, Rajasthan, Hyderabad, Bodoland, Arunachal and by-elections of 11 states, BJP has got grand success. From Ladakh to Hyderabad and now Kashmir, this is an all India profile. It should be seen how much the public is believing in the leadership of PM.
