RCB Urged to Consider Will Jacks for IPL 2024 by Tom Moody Following Overseas Batters’ Disappointing Performances

Jaipur, April 7 (IANS) With Royal Challengers Bengaluru facing a tough time in IPL 2024, former Sunrisers Hyderabad coach Tom Moody suggests including England all-rounder Will Jacks in the playing eleven. Despite a strong start, RCB’s overseas batters have failed to deliver, leading to concerns about their performance. With key players like Faf du Plessis and Glenn Maxwell struggling, Jacks’ exceptional strike rates make him a viable option to boost the team’s batting lineup.

In a recent statement on ESPNcricinfo’s ‘T20: Time-Out’ show, Moody mentioned, “RCB have to seriously consider Will Jacks. How they fit him in is a discussion that needs to be had.” With Jacks’ impressive performance in the Bangladesh Premier League earlier this year, scoring an unbeaten 108 off 53 balls, the pressure is on RCB to make a strategic decision on reshuffling their lineup.

Despite the dilemma of who Jacks could potentially replace in the playing eleven, Moody emphasizes the need for RCB to take bold steps in order to salvage their IPL campaign. With RCB set to face Mumbai Indians in their upcoming match at the Wankhede Stadium on Thursday, the team must act swiftly to turn their fortunes around before it’s too late. Will Jacks could potentially provide the much-needed firepower to steer RCB towards victory in the remaining matches of the season.
