Renault Captur facelift unveiled for 2024 with updated design and advanced technology
The 2024 Renault Captur facelift has made its global debut with new styling and more tech. The compact SUV gets an extensive redesign to the front, aligning it with Renault’s latest design language. The cabin receives subtle revisions and packs advanced technology.
Renault has revamped the front of the 2024 Captur facelift, giving it a more upscale appearance with a sharp look. The grille now features Renault’s new diamond logo, and the wheel arches are more pronounced. The rear sees limited changes, including a revised bumper and new graphics for the C-shaped wraparound taillights. Wheel sizes range from 17 to 19 inches.
The new Esprit Alpine trim replaces the RS Line as the top-spec variant, offering dual-tone paint options. The cabin retains its design with subtle changes and introduces a new 10.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system with built-in Google and a 10.25-inch digital instrument console. Recycled materials are used in place of leather upholstery.
Powering the 2024 Renault Captur facelift are turbo petrol engines for the European market. Options include a 1.0-liter three-cylinder engine with 90 bhp, a 1.3-liter four-cylinder engine with two states of tune – 140 bhp and 160 bhp. The more potent 160 bhp unit is paired with a 7-speed DCT automatic, while a 1.6-liter strong hybrid engine with a combined output of 145 bhp is also available.
The 2024 Captur comes equipped with the latest-generation driving aids, including the predictive hybrid driving function and Active Driver Assist for Level 2 autonomous driving. Production of the new model is set to begin later this year at Renault’s Valladolid factory in Spain. European-spec Captur differs from the Indian model, with no plans for a revival in India. Renault is gearing up to introduce two new SUVs in the coming years, with the new-gen Duster likely to arrive in 2025.
