**95% of Indian CIOs Believe AI Adoption is Key for Business in 2024**

Bengaluru, March 14 (IANS): A recent report by International Data Corporation, commissioned by Lenovo, revealed that 95% of Indian Chief Information Officers (CIOs) consider the adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI) crucial for the business landscape in 2024. The survey included over 900 CIOs, with more than 150 from India.

CIOs in Asia-Pacific plan to increase AI spending by 45% in 2024 compared to the previous year. According to Amit Luthra, MD – Inid India, Lenovo ISG, “CIOs in India are most confident about AI, expressing certainty that it will create a competitive advantage, and consider it a game changer for their organisations.”

Investments in GenAI and machine learning are on the rise, indicating a focus on operational efficiency, security, decision-making processes, and customer experiences. Indian CIOs are also prioritizing top technologies such as cybersecurity, threat detection, intelligent automation, and robotics.

Despite the optimism surrounding AI, challenges like high dependence on third-party support, security concerns, job security, and lack of IT support for automation deployment remain top concerns for Indian CIOs. However, 84% of CIOs in India are already using AI to enhance their security framework, with additional investments planned for the future.

The report underscores the growing significance of AI in shaping the future of businesses in India and highlights the need for strategic investments and robust implementation strategies to leverage the full potential of artificial intelligence technologies.–IANS
