Report: Indian companies are dominating APAC markets in the adoption of AI/ML technology
New Delhi, April 3 (IANS) Indian enterprises are leading Asia-Pacific (APAC) markets in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) usage, as per a new report by cloud security company Zscaler. The report analyzed 18.09 billion AI transactions from April 2023 to January 2024.
India emerged as one of the top five countries generating the most enterprise AI transactions, along with the US, UK, Australia, and Japan. Sudip Banerjee, CTO, APAC & Japan at Zscaler, stated, “India leading the charge in APAC when it comes to AI usage is a clear indication of the country’s unwavering commitment to leveraging technology to drive innovation and positive change.”
Despite the growth in AI adoption, Banerjee highlighted the escalation in AI-powered threats, emphasizing the importance of securing data against emerging attacks. The report noted a significant increase in enterprise AI transactions, reaching 3.1 billion monthly by January 2024 from 521 million monthly in April 2023.
The analysis revealed that ChatGPT accounted for over half of all enterprise AI transactions (52%), while other applications like Drift, LivePerson, and BoldChat also played a notable role in AI adoption. The trends in AI adoption varied globally due to regulations, technology infrastructure, and cultural considerations influencing the implementation of AI technologies.
