Report: More Than 235 Million Indian Users Engage with Content on Mobile Lock Screens

More than 235 million active users in India explore trending content on their mobile lock screens, with 55% from tier 1 cities and 45% from tier 2 and 3 cities, according to a report by Glance. The report also highlighted the male population’s higher engagement with smart lock screens compared to females.

Bikash Chowdhury, Chief Marketing Officer of Glance, stated, “Our Glance Smart Lock Screen Trends Report India 2024 captures distinctive user habits, showcasing how Glance enriches every moment of their lives.” The report revealed that males are more inclined to discover and consume content on their smart lock screens, with a ratio of 61:39.

The top three content categories accessed through mobile lock screens were national news, sports, and entertainment, accounting for 19%, 18%, and 16% respectively. This data sheds light on the dynamic space of smart lock screens and how users engage with content and internet experiences in their daily lives.
