The staff reached the level where the baby was stuck and are preparing to drill a hole horizontally. An ambulance is on standby to take the child to the hospital, and his mother is waiting inside. A boulder delayed the operation briefly, but sources remain optimistic about the rescue.

Satwik Mujagonda, the son of Shankarappa Mujagonda and Pooja Mujagonda from Lachchana village in Vijayapura, fell into the well. The borewell was left open after being drilled to provide water for crops like sugarcane and lemon. The toddler is believed to be trapped 15 to 20 feet down in the 400-feet deep borewell.

The incident occurred on Wednesday evening while the child was playing on his parents’ agricultural land. The community has come together at the site, hoping for a successful rescue operation. The team has been working diligently since Wednesday evening, maintaining oxygen supply to the boy in the borewell.

Authorities are ensuring all efforts are made to safely rescue the toddler, as the family, officials, and community members anxiously await his safe return. The operation in Vijayapura is at a critical stage, with hopes high for a successful outcome to reunite the boy with his relieved loved ones.
