In the recent turn of events, Reza Tsaghati, an official who is in charge of enforcing Iran’s morality code and hijab requirement for women has been suspended from his post after an alleged video of him getting intimate with a man goes viral on social media platforms like Twitter, Reddit, Telegram.
He was working as a Director-General of culture and Islamic guidance in Iran’s northern Gilan province before he refrained from his official duties.
The controversial video was first leaked by Radio Gilan on Telegram and later spread on various social media platforms.
The incident is also reported by BBC, however, no official confirmation for the video has been from the participants.

According to reports and tabloids, the video has been shot on the premises of Reza Tsaghati. The Government officials have denied of Reza being involved in such intimate videos and have no knowledge of Tsaghati’s sexuality and other activities.
Those who don’t know Homosexuality and same-sex relationships are regarded as illegal in Iran and make put behind bars if they are charged by the police.
Iran’s LGBTQ+ allay are stating incidents like these prove the hypocrisy of the government along with the country’s legal system that allows the elite class to escape without any legal charges and punishment.
Coming back to the Reza Tsaghati’s alleged video, no official confirmation or even acknowledgment has been done by Iran’s government.
Iranian culture minister, Mohammad Mehdi Edmaili stated in a released statement that no complaints are reported that involve Mr Tsaghati.
But things took a drastic turn when on 22nd July, the Department of Cultural and Islamic Guidance of Gilan acknowledged that an intimate gay s*x tape does exist that involves the Director of Islamic guidance in the region.
