Robin Uthappa praises Dhoni’s brilliance behind the wicket, saying he is ‘Just like Roger Federer’

Former Indian batter Robin Uthappa praised MS Dhoni’s stunning run-out in the IPL 2024 opener match between CSK and RCB. Despite knee surgery in 2023, Dhoni’s fitness and agility were on full display, impressing Uthappa and fans alike, drawing comparisons to Roger Federer’s work ethic.

Uthappa highlighted Dhoni’s meticulous recovery regimen, involving tennis sessions to maintain fitness post-surgery. Uthappa marveled at Dhoni’s physical condition, stating, “His knee looks brand new at the moment. Just like Roger Federer, nobody knows his work ethic, but Dhoni looks really good on the field.” The former cricketer also mentioned Dhoni’s tennis training contributing to his current form.

With CSK’s victory over RCB, Uthappa noted Dhoni’s strong performance, jokingly adding, “CSK will play MS Dhoni on a wheelchair.” Despite the jest, Uthappa commended Dhoni’s fitness, attributing his success to regular training, including tennis and paddle tennis. CSK’s win over RCB showcased Dhoni’s prowess and determination on the field, securing a six-wicket victory.
