Rohit Sharma admits confusion over cricket term “bazball” during Ind vs Eng 5th Test

Indian skipper Rohit Sharma remains puzzled by the term “bazball” despite praising England’s valiant approach ahead of the final Test match at HPCA. England, under new leadership, has adopted an unconventional style of play, but Rohit admits he still doesn’t understand the term.

After India secured a series win over England in Ranchi, it marked the first Test series loss for England since Brendon McCullum took over as head coach. Despite the unfamiliar term, Rohit acknowledged England’s improved performance compared to their last tour.

“I just don’t know what bazball means. I haven’t seen wild swinging from anyone. England have played better cricket than they were here last time. But I still don’t know what bazball means,” Rohit Sharma said in a press conference.

During the conversation, Rohit lightened the mood by referencing Rishabh Pant’s aggressive style of play, who is currently out of action due to injuries. When Ben Duckett praised Yashasvi Jaiswal’s attacking cricket, Rohit playfully reminded him of Pant’s flamboyant approach.

Reflecting on India’s journey in the series, Rohit highlighted the team’s ability to bounce back from challenging situations. With moments of brilliance and resilience, India showcased their ability to turn pressure into opportunities throughout the series.

India holds a 3-1 lead in the series and aims to finish on a high note with a victory in Dharamshala. As the final Test match approaches, both teams are gearing up for a competitive conclusion to an eventful series.
