Russia terror attack: Death toll climbs to 93, with 11 suspects in custody (Fourth Lead)

The death toll in the terror attack at Moscow’s Crocus City Hall has risen to 93, as per the Russian Investigative Committee’s latest update. The attack occurred during a concert at the complex, resulting in chaos and devastation.

Russian Security Service (FSB) director Alexander Bortnikov informed President Vladimir Putin that 11 suspects have been detained in connection with the attack. “All four terrorists directly involved are among those detained,” reported TASS.

The assailants targeted concertgoers as they attempted to flee the scene, with reports of hand grenades being used and incendiaries to set the building on fire. The scale of the attack caused the roof of the building to collapse, leading to a rising death toll.

World leaders have condemned the attack, with UK Foreign Secretary David Cameron offering condolences and expressing sympathy for the victims’ families. Prime Minister Narendra Modi of India also condemned the heinous act and expressed solidarity with Russia.

The US labeled the incident as a “terrible incident,” while Sri Lanka and Pakistan also denounced the violence. Russia’s Foreign Ministry urged the international community to condemn the terrorist attack, emphasizing the need for global solidarity in combating such acts.
