Russia urges India and other nations to work together in combatting terrorism

New Delhi, March 30 (IANS) Russian Ambassador to India, Denis Alipov, expressed Russia’s commitment to fighting terrorism alongside India and other nations following a deadly attack near Moscow on March 22. The attack left over 140 people dead and numerous injured at the Crocus City Hall.

Ambassador Alipov stated, “Russia is committed to decisively fight the menace of terrorism together with India and other countries bilaterally and multilaterally,” emphasizing the support received from Prime Minister Narendra Modi and various leaders.

He also appreciated the sympathy and condemnation of the terrorist attack shown by the people of India and other countries. The Russian Embassy received numerous condolence messages expressing solidarity with the victims’ families and condemning the horrific incident.

PM Modi stood in solidarity with Russia, condemning the attack and offering thoughts and prayers to the victims’ families. Russian President Vladimir Putin attributed the attack to radical Islamists, but raised questions about who ordered the crime and potential involvement of Ukraine.

President Putin emphasized the need to investigate why the terrorists attempted to travel to Ukraine after the attack and who awaited them there. The Russian leader’s statements indicate ongoing complexities surrounding the tragic incident.
