Schwarzenegger says he feels more like a machine after pacemaker procedure

Hollywood legend Arnold Schwarzenegger, who has undergone three open-heart surgeries in the past, revealed on his wellness podcast that he recently had a pacemaker implanted to regulate his heart. The surgery took place last Monday, and Schwarzenegger assured fans that he is doing well and already back to his normal routine.

Schwarzenegger expressed gratitude towards his medical team for their exceptional care during the procedure, stating, “All of the doctors and nurses took amazing care of me and made the surgery as painless as possible.” The actor has been vigilant about his cardiac health due to a genetic heart condition that claimed his mother’s life in 1998.

Having previously undergone heart surgeries in 1997, 2018, and 2020 to replace valves, Schwarzenegger has been monitoring his heart health regularly. His recent tests revealed the need for a pacemaker, which was promptly implanted to ensure his heart functions optimally. Despite the setback in his gym routine, he remains optimistic about a fast recovery.

While Schwarzenegger acknowledged that discussing his health publicly is not his usual approach, he emphasized the importance of sharing his struggles to inspire others. The action star remains determined to bounce back stronger and continue with his environmental advocacy work, proving that he is indeed a resilient machine inside and out.
