Sean Combs sued by record producer for sexual harassment, assault
Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs is facing new allegations of sexual assault by a former employee, Rodney ‘Lil Rod’ Jones, in a lawsuit seeking $30 million in damages. Jones claims he was sexually harassed, drugged, and threatened by Combs while working on the rapper’s recent album.
Jones, who produced 9 songs on Combs’ album from September 2022 to November 2023, lived with the rapper in various US cities and even vacationed with him outside the country. He alleges that he witnessed and endured disturbing incidents beyond his role as a producer on the project.
In the 73-page lawsuit, Combs’ son, chief of staff, Universal Music Group CEO, and former Motown Records CEO are named as defendants. Jones, who was also a videographer, claims he was required to constantly record Combs, resulting in hours of footage showing illegal activity by the artist and his associates.
The court documents obtained by ‘People’ magazine reveal the severity of the accusations against Combs. The lawsuit sheds light on the alleged misconduct and abuse of power within the music industry, raising concerns about the treatment of employees and the consequences of staying silent in such situations.
As the case unfolds in the New York federal court, the spotlight is on Combs and his alleged actions towards his former employee. The lawsuit serves as a reminder of the importance of speaking out against abuse and seeking justice for victims of sexual harassment in the workplace.
