Seat sharing in Bihar finalised by NDA, BJP to contest 17 seats, JD-U 16, LJPR 5 (Lead)

The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in Bihar has finalized its seat-sharing deal, with BJP leading the coalition. BJP will contest on 17 seats, while JD-U, LJP-Ram Vilas, HAM, and RLSP will field candidates on 16, 5, 1, and 1 seats respectively. The coalition aims to win all 40 seats in Bihar.

BJP General Secretary Vinod Tawde announced the seat-sharing deal in New Delhi, expressing confidence in sweeping the state. Bihar, along with Bengal and Uttar Pradesh, will see polling in all seven phases. Polling dates in Bihar are scheduled for April 19, 26, May 7, 13, 20, 25, and June 1.

Bihar Deputy CM Samrat Chowdhary stated that the NDA alliance, led by the Narendra Modi government, is set to return to power with a majority in the 2024 elections. The BJP is expected to contest in several key Lok Sabha constituencies, while JD-U, LJP-Ram Vilas, HAM, and RLSP will also field candidates in their assigned seats.

JD-U is likely to contest in a number of constituencies, while LJP-Ram Vilas will field candidates in Vaishali, Hajipur, Samastipur, Khagaria, and Jamui. HAM will contest in Gaya, and RLSP headed by Upendra Kushwaha will vie for the Karakat Lok Sabha constituency. The NDA alliance is gearing up for a strong showing in the upcoming elections.
