Seven fishermen missing after boat capsizes in South Korea

Seven people have gone missing after a fishing boat capsized off the southern coastal city of Tongyeong in South Korea on Saturday, as reported by the Coast Guard. The vessel overturned in waters 68 kilometers south of an island in Tongyeong with two South Koreans and seven Indonesians on board.

According to officials, rescue operations are currently underway for the missing individuals. Two crew members were found unconscious inside the vessel and have been hospitalized, while the nationalities of the rescued crew members remain unknown at this time.

A search operation involving 11 Coast Guard patrol vessels, two Navy vessels, and five helicopters is ongoing at the accident site to locate the missing individuals. The capsized boat had departed from the southern resort island of Jeju on Thursday.
