Seven killed and four injured in road accident in Khagaria, Bihar

Seven people, including three children, were killed and four others injured in a tragic accident in Bihar’s Khagaria district on Monday morning. A speeding tractor loaded with cement crashed into an SUV at Vidya Ratan fuel station on NH 31 under Pasraha police station at 6.30 a.m.

Sanjay Vishwas, SHO of Pasraha police station, confirmed the fatalities and stated that the police team swiftly rescued the injured individuals, rushing them to the hospital for medical treatment. The victims, who had attended a wedding in Chautham Thuddi village the previous night, were on their way back when the incident occurred.

The SUV suffered severe damage in the collision, leaving it completely mangled at the front and pushed off the road. The victims, who are believed to be relatives of Indradev Thakur from Besha village, have yet to be identified. This unfortunate event has brought sorrow and shock to the community.

The authorities are conducting further investigations to determine the cause of the accident and ensure that justice is served for the victims and their families. The tragic loss of life serves as a reminder of the importance of road safety and responsible driving to prevent such devastating incidents from reoccurring in the future.
