“Jab Tak Hai Jaan” is a 2012 Indian Hindi-language love drama film written and directed by Yash Chopra and written and produced by his child Aditya under their company Yash Raj Films, starring Shah Rukh Khan, Katrina Kaif, and Anushka Sharma.

Samar Anand (Khan) is an explosive ordnance disposal expert whose notebook gets into the clutches of an apprentice Akira Rai (Sharma); the diary describes his time as a poor immigrant in London, and subsequently details his passionate romance with Meera Thapar.

Akira gets authorization to make a documentary about an explosive ordnance disposal squad after she complete reviewing the diary. She approaches Samar for assistance in making her movie and becomes familiar with him and his staff. Akira develops feelings for Samar, but he does not connect due to his unresolved feelings for Meera. Akira completes a major movie and returns to London. She asks Samar to come to London to help her promote the movie; after grudgingly agreeing to come, he is hit by a van.

The film grossed 211 crore, making it one of the greatest Hindi films of 2012. “Jab Tak Hai Jaan” was Chopra’s fourth series to include Khan in the starring character, and it was the second collaboration involving Khan and Sharma, having originally appeared in Yash Raj Films’ “Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi” (2008), and the first featuring Khan and Kaif.
