Share Market Today: Sensex opens 450 points down, Nifty down more than 100 points
Share Market Today: The country’s Share market today opened (April 05, Monday) with a heavy fall. The Sensex broke over 450 points and the Nifty too was trading down by more than 100 points. The Share market suffered due to the increase in Corona’s case in the country.
The 30-share Sensex Sensex based on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) opened at 50,020.91, down by only 8.92 points from the previous session, and fell to 49,545.93 in early trade, while the Sensex was at an all-time high of 50,028.67.
At the same time, the National Stock Exchange (NSE) 50-share sensitive index Nifty slipped 29.65 points from the previous session to open at 14,837.70 and slipped to 14,736.60 while the Nifty was at an all-time high of 14,849.85 during the opening trade.
Shares of Infosys, Tech Mahindra, HCL Tech, TCS, Hindustan Unilever and Ultratech Cement opened on the green mark during initial trading today. At the same time, shares of Nestle India, Bajaj Auto, HDFC, ITC, NTPC, IndusInd Bank, Reliance and ITC opened on the red mark.

The Sensex was trading at 49,624.22, down by 405.61 points, or 0.81 per cent, from the previous session at 9.23 am and the Nifty was down by 119 points, or 0.80 per cent, from the previous session at 14,748.35.
