‘Shark Tank India 2’ ‘Janitri’ founder Arun Agarwal Impresses Judges With Healthcare Tech Innovation

One of the most popular reality show- ‘Shark Tank India 2’ recently witnessed something worthy or needs to be appreciated. Arun Aggarwal, founder of Janitri caught everyone’s attention with his latest invention, a patented device for remote fetal-maternal monitoring.

Arun Aggarwal comes from a small town named Alwar, Rajasthan. With Janitri, he aims to provide a trouble-free experience to every pregnant lady. He appeared on the show seeking funding for his start-up. He asked for ₹1 crore in exchange for 2.5% equity. This made the pitcher fight with each other as everyone wanted to be a part of this innovative technology. 

He stated: “It’s been a great experience and journey for us on ‘Shark Tank India 2’. I was very excited to bring Janitri in front of the Sharks. All of them showed great interest and were very keen to know more about the brand and our journey with it.”

“It’s a great moment for us because this social cause needs a huge amount of attention and awareness apart from funding,” he added.

Shark Tank India 2′ is an Indian reality show that gives startups a platform to seek funding from India’s leading investors. The show is judged by  Aman Gupta (Co-Founder and CMO of boAt), Anupam Mittal (Founder and CEO of Shaadi.com – People Group), Namita Thapar (Executive Director of Emcure Pharmaceuticals), Peyush Bansal (Founder and CEO of Lenskart.com), Amit Jain (CEO and Co-founder of CarDekho Group and InsuranceDekho.com) and Vineeta Singh (Co-Founder and CEO of SUGAR Cosmetics). 

The show features an investor panel known as Sharks which reviews the entrepreneur’s pitch ideas related to a product or hopes to develop. These investors, or say self-made multi-millionaires, check the product and concepts that are pitched in front of them. Sharks have to decide whether to invest in it or not. The first season of the show was hosted by Rannvijay Singha and is replaced by comedian Rahul Dua for its second season.
