Shashikant Shinde from Satara and Shriram Patil in Raver NCP (SP) fields

The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) has announced its candidates for the Satara Lok Sabha constituency and the Raver seat. Shashikant Shinde, MLC will contest from Satara, while Shriram Patil will be the candidate for the Raver seat. This comes after speculation surrounding the nomination of senior Congressman Prithviraj Chavan for Satara.

Shriniwas Patil, the sitting MP from Satara, had earlier withdrawn from the race due to health reasons. Shriram Patil will face off against the Bharatiya Janata Party’s Raksha Khadse, who is seeking a third consecutive term. The NCP (SP) has now nominated a total of 9 candidates and is expected to name a contender for the Madha seat soon.

The other NCP (SP) candidates include Supriya Sule (Baramati), Dr. Amol Kolhe (Shirur), Nilesh Lanke (Ahmednagar), Suresh Mhatre (Bhiwandi), Amar Kale (Wardha), Bajrang Sonwane (Beed), and Bhaskar Bhagare (Dindori). The Maha Vikas Aghadi, which the NCP (SP) is a part of, has finalized its seat-sharing agreement with Shiv Sena and Congress for the 48 Lok Sabha seats in the state.

With these developments, the stage is set for a competitive electoral battle in Satara and Raver constituencies. The NCP (SP) is gearing up for the upcoming elections as part of the Maha Vikas Aghadi alliance in Maharashtra. Stay tuned for more updates on the Lok Sabha polls in the state.
