The Shillong Teer results for the first and Second rounds are live here and you can check the results here. The unique Shillong Teer Lottery is linked to an archery event that is held at the Polo grounds in the Meghalaya State capital of Shillong.
The Teer event and the lottery are conducted by the Khasi Sports Association with the full blessings of the Meghalaya Government and are completely legal. The Khasi Association is a loose amalgamation of 12 different sports clubs in Meghalaya.
The Meghalaya Government also organizes several other Teer events like Khanapara Teer Event, Juwai Teer, and Assam Teer.
The Teer events as already mentioned take place at the Shillong Polo Grounds and a group of fifty highly trained archers gather in the evening.
A wooden target is placed at a distance of thirty feet and the archers shoot fifty arrows in two phases. In the first phase thirty arrows are shot at the target in two minutes. The remaining twenty arrows are shot in the second phase.
The lottery holder whose lottery bears the number of arrows that has hit the target on that day’s archery event is the winner and gets a prize.
