A 15 year old teen from Mississippi has been charged with murdering her mom.
The run up to the shooting has been revealed in a chilling video in which the screams of the victim can be heard as well as the sounds of the gunfire.

The video begins with the teen Carly Gregg in a Nirvana shirt casually walking in the house.
At one point in the video, Gregg can be seen peeking into the kitchen while hiding something behind her back.
It was later revealed that she was hiding a 357 Magnum handgun.
Later she goes out of the camera frame into another part of the residence.
A few moments later gunshots can be heard along with the screams of her mother Ashley Smylie.
Gregg later casually walks into the kitchen and uses her mother’s cell phone to text her stepfather and lure him to the home.
The teen had already made up her mind to kill her stepfather.
When her father arrived she shot him on his shoulder.
However, her stepfather wrestled and managed to wrest the firearm away from Gregg.
Gregg fled the scene but was soon apprehended and charged with Smylie’s murder and other serious crimes.
The chilling video was played on Tuesday in a Rankin County courtroom during Gregg’s murder trial.
Gregg was initially offered a plea deal which would have seen her being awarded a 40-year sentence. However, Gregg turned down the deal and is now seeking an insanity defence.
Ashley Smylie, 40, Gregg’s mother, was a math teacher at Northwest Rankin High School.
Reports indicate that Gregg went on the shooting spree after she became aware that their parents discovered her “secret life” with drugs.
One of Gregg’s friends had tipped off her parents about her drug use.
Later Gregg’s Mom searched her room and discovered a stash of vape pens.
Rankin County Assistant District Attorney Kathryn Newman said earlier in the trial,
“From the testimony of a friend, he was so worried about Carly’s use of smoking marijuana, so worried about her being high, and so worried about her having these burner phones, that [Carly’s] mom didn’t know about, that he felt compelled to tell Miss Ashley Smylie that day,”.
Prosecutors also revealed that Gregg had shot off messages to her friend and asked her to come home since there was an emergency.
When Gregg’s friend arrived to her home she said,
“Have you ever seen a dead body? My mom is there.”
Gregg was also suffering from a mental health crisis and this was testified by Psychiatrist Dr. Andrew Clark. Dr Clark revealed that on the day of the shooting, Gregg was experiencing wild mood swings and was also suffering from dissociative problems, which were made worse by her medications.
