Siddaramaiah directs officials to uncover truth and take action against spreading false news in B’luru cafe blast incident

Bengaluru, March 3 (IANS) Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has ordered a thorough investigation into the low-intensity IED blast at Rameshwaram Cafe on Friday, where 10 people were injured. He emphasized the need to combat misinformation on social media and ensure public safety.

During a high-level meeting at Vidhana Soudha, CM Siddaramaiah urged officials to use technology effectively to uncover the truth behind the blast. He instructed increased patrolling in crowded areas and expedited action against those spreading false news.

“The Intelligence department must be vigilant and take strict action against those spreading false news on social media,” Siddaramaiah stated. He emphasized the importance of adapting to the changing times and acting swiftly in response to threats.

Minister for RDPR, IT and BT Priyank Kharge, Home Minister G. Parameshwara, Bengaluru Police Commissioner B. Dayanand, and other top officials were present at the meeting.
