Sidharth Malhotra talks about how the action in ‘Yodha’ sets it apart from ‘Shershaah’

New Delhi, March 11 (IANS) Actor Sidharth Malhotra, who is set to star in the action-packed film ‘Yodha’, shared how the action in this upcoming movie differs from his previous film ‘Shershaah’. Sidharth, along with co-stars Raashii Khanna and Disha Patani, visited the national capital to promote the film.

The trio launched a patriotic song ‘Tiranga’ for the movie, sung by B. Praak with music by Tanishk Bagchi and lyrics by Manoj Muntashir Shukla. Sidharth rocked a printed grey shirt, leather jacket, ripped jeans, sneakers, and sunglasses during the promotions, exuding cool vibes.

Speaking about ‘Yodha’, Sidharth highlighted that the movie is a fictional story about a new task force called Yodha, allowing for creative liberties in the action sequences. He mentioned being more energetic and lean in this film, using different weapons for a commercial and entertaining viewing experience.

Expressing his affinity for roles in uniform, Sidharth shared his childhood fascination with army uniforms and guns. He emphasized his love for portraying underdog characters like Captain Vikram Batra, showcasing relatable yet heroic personalities, while also expressing pride in the country’s progress and potential.

Sidharth expressed hope for the audience to embrace ‘Yodha’ as they did ‘Shershaah’ and hinted at more uniform-clad roles in the future. ‘Yodha’ is the first installment of an action franchise led by Sidharth and produced by Hiroo Yash Johar, Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, and Shashank Khaitan. The film is scheduled for release on March 15.
