The devastating fire across Los Angeles has now acquired apocalyptic proportions with firefighters trying their utmost to douse the fires.
However, the internet is alive with a strange rumour that The Simpsons had already predicted the LA fires in one of its earlier episodes which was Titled “Little Big Girl.”
The Simpsons ‘Prediction’ Goes Viral Amid Devastating Los Angeles Wildfires
The genesis of these strange rumours can be traced to a TikTok video which was posted by user @twinski.tv on January 10, 2025 it detailed season 18 episode 12 and predicted the raging fire in Los Angeles.
The episode revealed how Springfield witnessed a wildfire that threatened the town and the residents. The wildfire was caused by a prank which went wrong and much akin to the present situation led to a chaotic fire and devastation and firefighter efforts to control the blaze.
The TikToker compared the scenes depicted in the episode and compared to the present situation drawing parallels. The episode depicts forest fires, destroyed properties, emergency evacuations of the residents of the town and the firefighter’s efforts unable to control the inferno.
However, the freak coincidence does not in any way predict the wildfires now raging in Los Angeles since Springfield’s location is fictional and many of the video images are AI-Generated.
However, the video has already raked in 500,000 views, with comments from netizens. One user stated,
“They predicted it again,”

Another caustically remarked,
“The Simpsons should do an episode about world peace to make it a reality.”
Los Angeles wildfires which started on January 7, 2025, are still raging and are showing no signs of abating. The wildfires have scorched nearly 38,000 acres and more than 12000 structures have been gutted.
The fire has already claimed the lives of 11 persons and gusty winds and super dry conditions have worsened the situation and also forced thousands of people to vacate their homes and evacuate.
Governor Gavin Newsom has declared a state of emergency and the fires have led to a political sledge fest with Republican President-Elect Donald Trump calling the present Joe Biden Government of being incompetent to handle the situation.
The fires have also affected many high-profile personalities whose houses have been destroyed by the fire or have been forced to abandon their property.
These include Miles Teller, John Goodman, James Woods, Anna Faris, Eugene Levy, Anthony Hopkins, Billy Crystal, Paris Hilton, Adam Brody, and Leighton Meester. The most affected regions include Pacific Palisades and Malibu.
