Skai Jackson's Baby Daddy was arrested for violating parole amidst a social media controversy

Deondre Burgin, Skai Jackson’s baby daddy, has been arrested for a parole violation and also injured himself in a fall when he tried to flee from police. The melee occurred amidst social media drama, as he was embroiled in both legal tussles and a hacking scandal.

According to media house TMZ, Burgin was arrested in Cincinnati, Ohio, after trying to outrun police officers who were sent to arrest him for a parole violation. Burgin was also slightly injured when he tried to escape.

A video that has become viral on social media shows police officers holding him on the ground while they waited for reinforcement. The police officers also handcuffed him. Post-arrest, he was charged with obstruction and was released subsequently.

TMZ reported that Burgin suffered a cut on his left cheek in the incident. Burgin was in the news recently after a post appeared on his Facebook account, which was critical of pregnant Skai and called Jackson derogatory terms, confirming her pregnancy. This was followed by a user who went by the name ‘Yerkey Yerkky’ claiming to be the baby’s father and giving a piece of his mind on Jackson’s pregnancy.

Yerky posted:

“On wopp I’m salty I got this dumb as Disney Channel b*h pregnant. I hate this he.”

The incident also led to speculation among netizens, who wondered about Jackson and Burgin’s complex relationship as they prepare to soon become parents.

The post was shared by controversial blogger Tasha K, and later Jackson and her mother, Kiya Cole, came to his defence and stated that he was hacked.

Jackson, 22, confirmed her pregnancy and was talking to People magazine about her motherhood, saying:

“I’m thrilled to begin this new chapter in my life—embracing motherhood and diving into new acting projects. My heart is so full!”

The identity of Jackson’s boyfriend and the father of the child is private. Jackson has, in the past, been involved in controversies surrounding their relationship. Jackson’s pregnancy was hinted at when she was arrested for an alleged domestic violence dispute with her boyfriend. The charges were dropped later, and a close friend claimed the incident was due to a misunderstanding and stated that they are “both very much in love and expecting a child together.”
