Skoda Kodiaq receives a price cut of ₹2 lakh and updates its variant lineup
Skoda Kodiaq, the luxurious SUV, receives a significant price cut of ₹2 lakh, making it more accessible to buyers. The SUV continues to offer top-notch build quality, feature-rich cabin, and comfortable seating for up to seven passengers, making it an attractive option in the market. The price cut may be a move to clear out existing stock before the arrival of the new generation Kodiaq in 2025.
The Skoda Kodiaq L&K variant, previously priced at ₹41.99 lakh (ex-showroom), now comes at a more competitive price point while retaining all its features. Powered by a 2.0-litre TSI petrol engine producing 188 bhp and 320 Nm of torque, the SUV offers a smooth and powerful driving experience with a 7-speed DSG automatic transmission and all-wheel drive configuration.
Despite the current generation Kodiaq being in the market for some time, Skoda has already unveiled the new generation globally, expected to reach Indian shores in 2025 through the CKD route. In addition to the Kodiaq, Skoda plans to reintroduce the Superb and Octavia to the Indian market this year, with reports suggesting the Superb will return as a CBU. The company also has plans to launch the Enyaq electric SUV in India and a made-in-India subcompact SUV in 2025.
Skoda’s strategic pricing move with the Kodiaq is seen as a step to attract more buyers to its luxury SUV segment, offering a blend of premium features and performance at a more competitive price point. With the anticipation of the new generation Kodiaq and other upcoming models in the pipeline, Skoda aims to strengthen its position in the Indian market with a diverse and updated product portfolio.
