Skoda Superb returns to India with updated engine and new features
Skoda has relaunched the Superb sedan in India equipped with a 2.0-litre four-cylinder TSI petrol engine mated to a seven-speed DCT gearbox. The premium sedan is priced at ₹54 lakh (ex-showroom) and will be sold as a completely built unit (CBU) with limited availability.
The Superb comes with a 2.0-litre four-cylinder TSI petrol engine generating 187 bhp of power and 320 Nm of peak torque. It is offered in the Laurin & Klement version and meets the current emission norms in India.
The Superb offers three exterior color options, including new choices like Rosso Brunello and Water World Green. The sedan retains its classic design elements with LED headlights, 18-inch alloy wheels, and Laurin & Klement badging.
In terms of features, the Superb comes with a 10.2-inch digital driver display, a 9.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless charging, tri-zone climate control, and more. Safety features include nine airbags, fatigue detection for drivers, 360-degree camera, and Park Assist with Emergency Braking Assist.
Skoda will only sell 100 units of the Superb sedan in India, with deliveries set to begin later this month. The carmaker pulled the Superb out of the market last year due to stricter BS6 phase 2 emission norms. The new Superb marks its return with enhanced features and a powerful engine.
