Small fire erupts in Home Ministry office at North Block

A fire broke out in the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) office in the North Block on Tuesday morning but was quickly brought under control by the fire department. The blaze reportedly started on the second floor at IC Division.

According to the Delhi Fire Service (DFS), the fire was reported at 9.22 a.m. and seven fire tenders were deployed to the scene. By 9.35 a.m., the flames were extinguished, averting a major disaster in the government building.

The fire reportedly originated in a Xerox machine, computers, and some documents within the office. Fortunately, no injuries were reported in the incident. The cause of the fire is still under investigation by the authorities.
