Sophie Choudry is a famous British singer and actress born on 8 February 1982 and based in India. She works predominately in the Hindi film industry. Earlier she used to work for MTV India as VJ. Initially, at the start of her career, she also worked as a model and TV presenter. 

Sophie was born in Manchester United Kingdom, she spent her whole childhood there. She has one sibling- an elder brother. Her father was a die-hard fan of Sophia Loren so he named her after her. Although now she changed it to Sophie. 

She has done her graduation from the London School of Economics in European politics and French. While studying at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art she was also a gold medalist. Later she enrolled at “Sciences Po” in Paris, France for two years. As per reports, while studying there she started working there as VJ  for Zee UK.

She is trained in Bharatnatyam while studying in London along with Salsa. She loves to dance. Apart from that, she is trained in western classical music under Helena Shenel for three years. Additionally, she also learnt Pandit Ashkaran Sharma for Indian classical music. 

When she was just 12 years old she started her singing career. Her talent was discovered by music director Biddu. At the beginning of her career, she used to work as a backup singer for Alisha Chinai and Shweta Shetty.
