Start-Up Mahakumbh: Students to be Key Contributors to Viksit Bharat, say Youth

New Delhi, March 20 (IANS) – Youth are predicted to play a crucial role in the vision of Viksit Bharat, as discussed by students at the Startup Mahakumbh event on Wednesday. Viksit Bharat aims to transform India into a $30 trillion economy by 2047, marking 100 years of independence.

At the event, student participants emphasized the significant contribution that the country’s youth will make towards achieving the goal of a developed nation. According to 15-year-old Suryansh from Bihar, “The youth will have the biggest contribution in the idea of Viksit Bharat.”

Startup Mahakumbh, held by the Commerce and Industry Ministry, is ongoing from March 18-20 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi under the theme ‘Bharat Innovates’. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in his address at the event, urged young startup founders to innovate solutions for India’s challenges and pave the way for Viksit Bharat’s success.

Participants praised the government’s efforts to promote startups in Tier II and III cities, including villages, to foster inclusive growth. The youth’s involvement in achieving the goal of Viksit Bharat was highlighted as crucial by attendees, emphasizing the importance of events like Startup Mahakumbh as the first step towards that vision.

With over 50,000 business visitors in attendance, the event underscores the enthusiasm and potential of the youth in contributing towards the nation’s development. One participant mentioned, “Viksit Bharat will have 100 per cent participation from the youth in the country,” showcasing the optimism and confidence in the youth’s role in shaping India’s future.
