Sukhwinder Singh performs patriotic rendition of ‘Qatra Qatra’ in ‘Ae Watan Mere Watan’

The patriotic song ‘Qatra Qatra’ from the movie ‘Ae Watan Mere Watan’, featuring Sara Ali Khan, was released on Saturday. Sung by Sukhwinder Singh and composed by Mukund Suryawanshi, the song highlights the passion and dedication of freedom fighters during the Quit India movement.

Lyrics by Ravi Girri and Rohan Deshmukh, the song was first presented at the 54th IFFI in Goa, where Sukhwinder Singh performed live. Singh expressed, “Qatra Qatra holds a special place in my heart, evoking patriotism and pride, paying tribute to unsung heroes of our nation.”

Singh continued, “Being part of ‘Ae Watan Mere Watan’ is gratifying as it showcases the power of youth’s voice. Just like ‘Jai Ho’ became an anthem, I hope ‘Qatra Qatra’ resonates with the youth of today.” The film, produced by Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, and Somen Mishra, directed by Kannan Iyer, also stars Sachin Khedekar, Abhay Verma, Sparsh Shrivastav, Alexx O’ Neil, and Anand Tiwari, with a special appearance by Emraan Hashmi.

Scheduled to premiere on Prime Video on March 21 in Hindi with dubs in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada, ‘Ae Watan Mere Watan’ promises to be a compelling narrative portraying the valor and sacrifice made by the country’s brave hearts.
