Artifical Intelligence

AI is the intelligence demonstrated by machines, unlike the natural intelligence shown by humans and animals, which involves consciousness and emotion. The distinction between the first and the last categories is usually revealed by the chosen acronym. The ‘forte’ AI is often labeled as AGI (General Artificial intelligence) while attempts to emulate “natural” intelligence (Artificial biological intelligence) have been called ABI. The main AI textbooks define the field as the study of “intelligent agents”: any device that perceives its environment and takes actions that maximize its chances of achieving its objectives successfully.
