Tampa Shooting Update: 3 Shot, 1 Injured, Suspect Fled The Scene After The Incident 

On Tuesday evening, a shooting incident occurred which left at least four people injured. Lee Bercaw, the Tampa Police Chief, updated us about the injuries.

According to ABC, the shooting incident took place in Tampa near Armature Works. The police announced that this shooting incident originated from a disturbance that took place between two groups. 

In the incident, three of the four were shot and one was injured. However, until now, police haven’t informed them how the other person was hurt. 

In a press meeting, Bercaw stated,

“That’s extremely disappointing because we’re in a family environment here.”

He added,

“Where people come to relax and enjoy their day, myself even on my day off.”

Background of the Tampa Shooting

On Tuesday evening, at Armature Works in Tampa, Florida, an individual was shot in the arm. Information about the incident was confirmed by the police. Police officials added that “it was not an active shooter situation”.

Tampa Police Department in an X post said,

“At 4:08 pm, the Tampa Police Department responded to the report of a shooting in the 1900 block of N. Ola Ave., near Armature Works. One victim was reported to have been shot in the arm. This is NOT an active shooter situation. Updates will be provided as soon as they are available.”

Several netizens went to social media and reported about the police activity in their proximity, reported TimesNow.

One user wrote,

“Getting reports of a shooter near Tampa Armature Works. One of our staffers heard shots near Stones Throw and is now hiding.”

Another netizen wrote,

“There was a shooting around armature works just now. If you know anyone there, check in with your people.”

Additional information about the identity of the suspect or the surrounding circumstances is not known yet. However, witnesses stated that, after the incident, the suspect fled the scene.
