Tanner Fox gained fame because of his risky videos and currently has over 10 million subscribers on his YouTube channel.
His last video was titled “IT’S FINALLY DONE! (GTR 4.0 REVEAL).”
After that, he did not post anything.
A TikToker also made videos about his death and the reasons behind it.
However, Tanner is taking a break because he is currently focusing on his mental health.
In September 2022, Tanner discussed his issues on “The Roman Atwood” Podcast.
He mentioned that creating content on YouTube was linked to his addiction to drugs.
Tanner used to be addicted to drugs like mushrooms, psychedelics, and more for over a year.
He said that he was heavily addicted to drugs and that his decision to quit posting on YouTube was part of his effort to rebuild his team and recover from his addiction.
“I got like heavily into shrooms, like psychedelics. For probably a year and a half, I was doing it like five times a week… I got into that s**t pretty heavily, and I like lost my mind for a while… It was kinda like a bleeding part in the middle of it. Like it kind of assisted both I think, YouTube stopping and then that starting.”
Tanner said.
Tanner has significantly reduced his activity on YouTube and Instagram, but he is still very active on Snapchat and tends to update there.
In February 2023, Tanner Fox appeared on “The George Janko Show” and mentioned that fame and the pressure to meet expectations had affected him badly.
For the time being, he stepped away from the public eye because of his mental health, and we wish him a speedy recovery!
