Tata Altroz now includes a new standard safety feature – find out what it is!

Tata Motors has updated its premium hatchback, Altroz, by adding the Electronic Stability Program (ESC) as a standard safety feature across all variants. The prices remain unchanged, starting at ₹6.65 lakh and going up to ₹10.80 lakh, ex-showroom.

The Altroz continues to offer dual front airbags, Brake Sway Control, rear parking sensors, ISOFIX child seat mounts, and impact-sensing door unlock as standard safety features. The ESC addition enhances the vehicle’s safety quotient without affecting its pricing.

Powering the Altroz are four powertrains, including a 1.2L naturally aspirated petrol engine, a 1.2L turbo petrol engine, a 1.5L diesel engine, and a CNG powertrain. All variants come with a 5-speed manual gearbox, except for the 1.2L petrol engine, which offers a 6-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

The Altroz is available in six variants – XE, XM, XM+, XT, XZ, and XZ+. The XM, XM+, XZ+, and XZ+O variants also offer a sunroof. The vehicle competes with the Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Toyota Glanza, and Hyundai i20 in the premium hatchback segment.

Tata Motors is set to launch the Altroz Racer in India, which was showcased at Auto Expo 2023. Powered by the same engine as the Nexon, it boasts 118 bhp and 170 Nm of torque, with a 6-speed gearbox upgrade. The Altroz Racer promises to be a sportier version of the popular hatchback.
