Tata Motors Celebrates Milestone of Rolling Out 1 Millionth Car from Sanand Facility

Tata Motors recently marked a significant achievement by producing the 1 millionth car at its Sanand manufacturing plant in Gujarat, which was established in 2010. The sprawling facility spans 1100 acres and employs over 6000 direct and indirect workers, playing a key role in Tata Motors’ growth in India.

The Sanand plant features advanced infrastructure including a press line, welding shop, paint shop, assembly line, and powertrain shop. It is responsible for manufacturing a range of vehicles such as Tiago, Tigor, and XPRES-T EV, reflecting Tata Motors’ commitment to innovative and sustainable mobility solutions.

Shailesh Chandra, Managing Director of Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd., expressed pride in achieving this milestone, stating, “This facility has been pivotal in bolstering our growth story in India by responding to market needs promptly. Our efforts have led to higher consideration for our products, reaffirming their popularity among consumers.”

Furthermore, Tata Motors has strengthened its product lineup with the launch of Dark Editions of popular models like Nexon, Safari, and Harrier. These special editions have garnered significant attention in the market, showcasing the brand’s ability to bring innovative and appealing offerings to customers.
