TDP alleges YSRCP ties to company implicated in Vizag drugs case
The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) in Andhra Pradesh has accused the ruling YSR Congress Party of having links with a private company involved in a 25,000 kg drug seizure case. TDP spokesperson alleged that the YSRCP government’s administrative misuse led to the drug menace peaking in the state.
According to TDP national spokesperson Jyothsna Tirunagari, the seizure of drugs from a container at Visakhapatnam Port by the CBI reveals the ruling party’s connection with Sandhya Aqua Exports, the company to which the container was supposed to be delivered. She claimed that the MD of the company and his family are associated with YSRCP.
Tirunagari also highlighted YSRCP MP V. Vijaysai Reddy’s alleged “Brazilian connection,” linking it to the case. She criticized the government and stated, “Jagan Reddy has again resorted to peddling cocaine and such activities are being run by the henchmen of the chief.”
Furthermore, the TDP spokesperson raised concerns about the safety of Andhra Pradesh’s youth, accusing Jagan Reddy of endangering their lives. Earlier, another TDP spokesman had mentioned the link between the accused company in the Visakhapatnam drugs case and YSRCP. The party urged for a thorough investigation before passing any definitive statements.
