Team Sensations crowned champions of the Prime Masters League Series 1

Team Sensattions emerged champions of the Prime Masters League Series 1, the first veterans’ table tennis league in the country, held in Mumbai. The league saw Team Sensattions dominate each round, eventually finishing on top of the standings and being crowned champions. The league featured table tennis veterans aged 39 and above, focusing only on players from Maharashtra.

In the finals, Dr Reena Bhagat and Satish Shrisath from Team Sensattions secured wins, giving their team an early lead. However, Team Spinxttreme fought back with victories from Harshal Pawar and others. Ultimately, Team Sensattions emerged victorious with a score of 8-4 over Team Spinxttreme, claiming the championship title.

Supported by the Maharashtra State Veterans Table Tennis Committee, the league brought together eight teams and a total of 64 experienced players. Notably, 55 out of the 64 players will also be competing in the Nationals this year, making it a significant pre-national practice engagement for the participants. The intense matches and high level of competition showcased sensational table tennis skills from the veteran players.

Abhishek Jain, CEO of Prime Table Tennis, congratulated Team Sensattions for their victory in the league and commended all the teams and participants for their exceptional performance. The atmosphere and intensity of the league were highly praised, with Jain stating, “It was like these guys rolled back the years and showcased sensational table tennis.” The Prime Masters League Series 1 successfully highlighted the talent and competitiveness among veteran table tennis players in Maharashtra, setting a high standard for future editions of the league.
