Teenager girl dies while working in factory in Delhi

A 19-year-old girl died under mysterious circumstances on Monday while working in a factory in North-West Delhi’s Ashok Vihar area, the police said. According to officials, at around 5 p.m., a call was received at the Ashok Vihar police station from Deep Chand Bandhu Hospital, informing them that a girl named Suman was brought dead there. Suman used to work in the packing department of a utensil making factory, as per her sister.

While working in the factory on Monday, she fell unconscious and was taken to the hospital by her sister, where she was declared brought dead, said a senior police officer. No external injury marks were noticed on the body.

The police are conducting an investigation into the matter to determine the cause of Suman’s death. The circumstances leading to her sudden collapse at the factory are being probed, and officials are awaiting the results of her postmortem examination. It is important to ascertain whether there were any occupational hazards or other factors that may have contributed to her demise.

The incident has raised concerns about the safety of workers in factories and the need for stringent measures to ensure their well-being. The authorities will be closely monitoring the developments in the case to ensure that justice is served and appropriate steps are taken to prevent similar incidents in the future.
