Telangana is the 28th State of India. It was founded in 2014, on 2 June. Telangana celebrates its formation day annually on 2 June, this year it will be celebrated on Friday. Telangana Formation Day marks the contributions of various individuals to make Telangana a separate state out of Andhra Pradesh. This state has a total of 30 districts. All the districts come together to honor the day by hoisting the national flag. The citizens are honored for their incredible and remarkable achievements in literature, art, and science.
History
The regions of Hyderabad dominated by Telugu-speaking individuals were merged on 1 November 1956 with Andhra Pradesh. They were together made into one big state. The region of Telangana witnessed started its protest for a new state in 1969. Thus, in 1972, Andhra Pradesh was formed. In the agitation that occurred in 1969, government employees, student unions, and multiple social organizations played a very crucial role.
The Congress working committee passed the Telangana bill in February 2014. The Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act received approval in 2014 when it was introduced in Parliament. As per the bill, Telangana gained recognition as a new state of 10 districts in the north-western part of Andhra Pradesh.
