The 2024 Kawasaki Ninja 500 is now available in India for ₹5.24 lakh
The 2024 Kawasaki Ninja 500, with a larger 451 cc engine, has been launched in India. The new bike produces more torque at 42.6 Nm at 6,000 rpm, up from 37 Nm at 8,000 rpm, while power output stays at 45 bhp and comes in earlier at 9,000 rpm instead of 10,000 rpm. The bike is priced at ₹5.24 lakh.
Underpinned by a trellis frame, the Ninja 500 features a larger displacement 451 cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine with a bigger stroke allowing the motor to produce more torque. It comes paired with a 6-speed gearbox and a slip-and-assist clutch. The bike gets telescopic forks at the front and a monoshock at the rear, with braking performance from a 310 mm front disc and a 220 mm rear disc with dual-channel ABS. Additionally, it features an LCD digital instrument console with smartphone connectivity.
The design language remains familiar with the Ninja 500 looking identical to the bigger siblings – the Ninja ZX-6R and Ninja ZX-10R. It features twin LED headlamps, sharp side fairing, and split seats, with a more upright seating posture intended for a sports tourer.
The Kawasaki Ninja 500 will compete against a host of offerings including the Aprilia RS 457, Yamaha YZF-R3, KTM RC 390, and more in the segment. The bike is expected to make a strong impression in the market.
The 2024 Kawasaki Ninja 500 has brought a new level of power and performance to the segment, giving riders a compelling new option in the middleweight sportbike category. With its upgraded engine, improved torque, and high-tech features, the Ninja 500 is sure to turn heads and raise the bar for its competition.
