The Africa Day 2022 Festival Will Honour African Culture: Quotes, Wishes, Picture For Celebration

From May 25 to 28, Africa Day 2022 will be a four-day series of events and activations at Constitution Hill in Johannesburg. This year’s event will focus on reinvigorating commercial opportunities and exchange among South African SMMEs, as well as boosting transnational trade between different operators (Crowd funders, Government, SMMEs, and creative hubs).

Africa Day 2022: The Celebration

‘A Collaborative Africa’ and ‘United Colors of Africa’ are the two major themes of this year’s Africa Day event. Through this festival, Africa Day promotes diversity and inclusion for anyone who claims to be part of Africa’s future, particularly the LGBTQI+ population.

In collaboration with the Gauteng Department of Sports, Arts and Culture, LoCrate Market, MTV Base, and Bet are presenting Africa Day 2022.

Over the next 4 days, vertically integrated business seminars, art exhibitions, African food and artisan market, and a folk festival at Constitution Hill will be among the attractions. It’s all about displaying African culture through music, art, and fashion, to foster an atmosphere where young people from all over the continent can discuss things and do commerce.

Africa Day 2022: Statements

“We are delighted to eventually have on-the-ground operations that will connect people just to commemorate the uniqueness of the mainland, connect, and explore time for creative organisation and business concept advancement after two years of virtual Africa Day festivities,” said Monde Twala, senior vice president at Paramount.

“It’s encouraging to see how Africans are leading the charge through partnership, inventiveness, and creativity in the region and across the world.” We’re very delighted to work with The Gauteng Film Commission (GFC), Culture and Recreation, Department of Sports, Malaria Foundation, LoCrate Market, Arts, and Gauteng to spotlight African businesses and bring Africans together on Africa Day.”

The events aim to foster an inclusive and non-discriminatory society, and anybody proud of their African origin is welcome to attend.

While the first three days of attendance are free, guests must register for a free pass at the site to be granted space. For R150, tickets to the music festival on May 28 may be purchased here.
