It has all the components of a commercial potboiler. The Max Group family feud has come out in the open. There is the involvement of dirt money, sex, illicit affairs, everything one can see in numerous soaps churned out on different TV Channels.

The Max Group family feud is moving towards an ugly culmination. The main protagonists and antagonists in this messy corporate story are Neelu Analjit Singh, wife of Analjit Singh. In a petition before NCLT, she claimed that Analjit Singh is unfit to continue as the Director of the Company and must be removed.

Husband Siphoning Off Funds From A Group Holding Company

Singh’s wife wants a probe into the affairs of Max Ventures and claimed that Analjit Singh has been siphoning off funds from a group holding company claims ET. In a petition before National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT), Neelu Analjit Singh sought the tribunal to initiate an investigation into the affairs of Max Ventures Investment Holdings Pvt Ltd. She also sought the removal of Analjit Singh from the post of Director. She also wants her to be made Director with special powers to veto specific projects.

The petition charged her husband that he is selling, alienating, or siphoning off funds through suspicious transactions and ousting her from the business. She also requested NCLT to order an independent audit of the Company and block Analjit’s access to funds.

There is more to this corporate saga. Neelu Analjit Singh alleged that her husband is having an illicit affair with a woman, and she is the principal beneficiary of these ‘illegal acts.’ She also said that after thirty years of married life, she was devastated on hearing her husband’s illicit affair.

ET also sought Analjit’s side of the story. Analjit replied in an email that since the matter is subjudice, he will not comment on the issue. The case will come up for hearing on March 31.
