The rise and success of Pawan Singh, Bhojpuri star compelled to withdraw from LS elections due to trolls

Bhojpuri sensation Pawan Singh, known for his hit songs and movies, has declined the BJP’s offer to contest in the upcoming elections from Asansol, West Bengal. Born in Arrah, Bihar, he started his career in singing and later ventured into acting, gaining fame with songs like “Lollypop Lagelu” and “Saniya Mirza Cut Nathuniya”.

Pawan Singh’s popularity soared with his collaboration with Lauren Gottlieb in the Hindi single “Kamariya Hila Rahi Hai” and subsequent tracks like “Babuni Tere Rang Me” and “Current”. In Bhojpuri cinema, he has delivered multiple blockbusters such as “Satya” and “Sher Singh”. The actor-singer is also a social media sensation, with a viral video of his dance with fellow artist Khesari Lal Yadav.

Despite being named as BJP’s candidate from Asansol, Pawan Singh cited “some reason” for his decision to not contest in the elections. He thanked the party leadership for the trust placed in him. The actor’s loyal fan base and growing social media presence continue to make him a prominent figure in the entertainment industry.
