Ting Ye, A Driver Fled To China from US After Killing Her Passenger in Washington Car Crash

Ting Ye is a recently suspected drunk driver who has allegations imposed on him of killing a 27-year-old man. The allegations portray Ting Ye as a reckless driver who fled to China before getting arrested by Police, for killing a man in a high-speed car crash in Washington state.

According to the reports, when Ting Ye’s vehicle collided, she was driving at more than 161 kph or 100 mph. This incident occurred on September 30, 2023.

Yabao Liu was Ting Ye’s passenger, who got killed during the accident. First, the car skidded off the road, then flipped near Bellevue, Washington. Police speculate that the main motive behind Ting Ye’s fleeing to China is to avoid any legal case against her in her home country, the United States.

Seth Tyler, the Public Information Officer of Bellevue Police Department told WPDE ABC15, the local broadcaster that, “Based on the skid marks and evidence left at the scene the car was going well more than 100 miles an hour.” Furthermore, he added, “The vehicle hit the barrier there and was thrown into the air and hit the side of that bridge where it came to rest.”

Ting Ye crashes a car

The accident that took Ting Ye’s passenger, Yabao Liu’s life took place around 3:45 AM, on September 30, 2023. Both Liu and Ye were pulled out from the vehicle that was chronically damaged. Liu, the passenger passed away at the spot. However, a court document stated that a strong odor of alcohol could be sensed from Ye inside the car.

The driver, Ting Ye was transferred to the Harborview Medical Center. However, police said that she refused to comply with the rules of investigators. According to reports, Ting Ye was soon discharged. However, she fled to Canada.

Furthermore, Seth Tyler, the Public Information Officer of Bellevue Police Department stated, “We were not notified by hospital personnel, my understanding is that she was not going to be released anytime soon due to her injuries, and so we were under the assumption she was going to remain at the hospital for some time.”
